He was on the way to his college when a speeding multi utility vehicle (MUV) hit his car. He was rushed to the civil hospital, Samana, where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim, who hailed from Dedhana village in the district, is survived by his wife and two children.
Station house officer (SHO), Samana, Rajesh Malhotra said the unidentified driver fled from the spot, leaving the MUV. He added that the police had seized the vehicle and were trying to identify the driver.
A case has been registered under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.
The body was handed over to family members after a postmortem.
