Cold claims life, foggy weather over next week
The weather forecast for January 4 to January 9 is foggy, a Met release said on Saturday, even as the extreme cold claimed a life in the city on Saturday.

The weather forecast for January 4 to January 9 is foggy, a Met release said on Saturday, even as the extreme cold claimed a life in the city on Saturday.
An unidentified male body was found in Hall Bazar area. Assistant sub-inspector Lakhbir Singh, who is investigating the matter, said prima facie it seemed to be a case of cold weather taking a life. “Efforts are being made to identify the deceased.”
On Saturday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.1 degrees Celsius and 4.8 degrees Celsius, respectively, even as the weather remained predominantly foggy.
Mist prevailed for most part of the day and sunshine could only be seen around 3pm.
