Kamal Nath’s appointment cruel joke on Sikhs: AAP
Reacting sharply on the appointment of Kamal Nath as in charge of Congress affairs in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday termed him “accused” of Sikhs riots in 1984.
AAP state convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that since 32 years, Sikhs are crying for justice, but Congress has played a ‘cruel joke’ on Sikhs.
Substantiating the allegations against Nath, Chhotepur revealed that senior journalist Sanjay Suri in his statement to the Mishra Commission and Nanawati Commission stated that Kamal Nath was leading the mob in front of Rakabganj Gurdwara of Delhi for at least two hours to kill Sikhs in 1984. Even advocate HS Phoolka in his book on the 1984 anti-Sikhs riots accused Nath for leading the mob to kill Sikhs, he added.
