Navjot Sidhu assures support to jewellers

The agitating jewellers on Saturday received a boost when Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu came out in support of the jewellers at Patel Chowk in Amritsar.
The jewellers in Amritsar are protesting against the excise duty imposed on them and closed down their shops a few days ago.
MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, who met with the jewellers said he was ready to support them and put in all the efforts to get their issues resolved.
Claiming that the matter will be raised in Parliament, Sidhu said, "We will take up the matter with concerned ministry and if issue is not resolved, we will take out a protest march to meet the finance minister of India."
