The Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, directed by Shankar, is a much-anticipated film. The filmmakers plan on making the wait for the film more exciting with their audio launch event, which has been organised in Dubai on October 27. From the invites that have been sent out to the stage that is currently being set, there is a lot of hype around this grand event. Fans have already started to request the filmmakers to broadcast the event live on official social media handles of 2.0. Before the grand launch, here’s everything you need to know about the mega-budget project.
AR Rahman live performance
The main event will have the star of the evening, music composer AR Rahman performing live for the audience. It is said that he will perform a track from the Rajinkanth-starrer too. Also performing with AR Rahman will be the 125 Symphonies team.
The event will see the attendance many stars, other than the cast of the film. Speculations are rife that Kamal Haasan might be seen at the event. Things will surely get interesting as both Kamal and Rajini have also announced their political entries. King of Dubai is also expected to preside over the event. Also, 12,000 people have been given free passes to attend the event.
Pre audio launch
On October 26, press from across the world will gather at Burj Al Arab, for a meet with Rajinkanth, Akshay Kumar, director Shankar and AR Rahman. The stars will be travelling in chopper to the venue.
Live broadcast at malls
The filmmakers, Lyca Production has spent a huge amount of money to market their film. They have spent about Rs 2 crore to install huge LED screens at some of the popular malls in Dubai. The audio launch of 2.0 will be telecast live at these places and about 1.5 lakh people will be able to watch the 2.0 audio launch.
