Hiphop Tamizha to share profits from Meesaya Murukku album with his team

Composer Adhi, who goes by the screen name Hiphop Tamizha, made his directorial debut last year with the super hit Tamil campus drama Meesaya Murukku. A semi biographical story of Adhi’s musical journey, the film and its music struck a chord with youngsters and was extremely well received.
The film’s album went on to become the most streamed album of 2017 with over 150 million plays. The team, earlier this week, celebrated the success of the album at a special event where Adhi said he owes the success of the album to all the musicians who worked on it.
As a gesture of his appreciation for his team, he revealed that he will share the profits of the album with every technician who worked with him. Speaking to popular portal Behindwoods, he said: “We have decided to share the profits with 50 musicians who worked on the album. From now, by the end of each year, a share of our profits will go to the unsung heroes of our team.”
Following the success of Meesaya Murukku, Adhi has begun work on his second directorial. According to reliable sources, the film will have hockey as backdrop and it will feature Adhi in the titular role. The young composer is also busy with his music assignments. His latest album Kalakalappu 2 released earlier this week. His upcoming album is Nani starrer Telugu action drama Krishnarjuna Yuddham.
