Mohanlal’s Neerali postponed, July 12 is the new release date

Mohanlal’s film Neerali directed by Ajoy Varma has been postponed. The movie will now release on July 12.

Mohanlal’s movie Neerali was initially expected to hit the screens on June 14 with Eid around the corner, but it has now been postponed to July 12. The reason for the delay of the film is not clear as of now. The actor took to his Facebook page to announce the new release date. He also shared a new poster from the film.

Neerali sees Mohanlal play the role of a gemologist while Nadhiya plays the role of his pregnant wife. In the teaser, we see Mohanlal being stuck in a jeep that is stranded on the edge of a cliff after a crash. He tries to call out for help, but it is completely dark. His co-passengers on the other hand are unconscious or dead.

The film is helmed by editor turned director Ajoy Varma. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Parvatii Nair, and Dileesh Pothen also play pivotal roles in the film. Pianist Stephen Devassy is scoring the music for this film, which will have the background score by Ronnie Raphael.

Mohanlal shot Neerali and Odiyan at the same time. The actor began work on this project earlier in 2018 and wrapped it up in just a couple of months. Other than Neerali, Mohanlal will also be seen in Kayamkulam Kochunni alongside Nivin Pauly. The actor has also signed to play an important part in KV Anand’s film starring Suriya, which is to be produced by Sun Pictures.
