Lovers of Malayalam cinema have lapped up the amazing on-screen chemistry between Mohanlal and Manju Warrior in films like Thampuran and Kanmadham. Now a new song, Kandittum Kandittum, from their upcoming film Villain is charming audiences all over again.
Shared by Monhanlal early on Thursday, the song shows Mohanlal as a family man and his moments with his wife, played Manju Warrier and a teenaged daughter. He plays a retired cop in the film. While he has done scores of such songs before, what’s unmistakable is his equation with Manju Warrier.
What also stands out are the amazing visuals. The choreography in the song deserves a special mention as the song showcases folk dance forms of Kerala in their true colours. There’s Theyyam, Kathakali and Krishnattam. The natural background adds to the visual appeal.
The song has been sung by KJ Yesudas, penned by BK Harinarayanan and composed by 4 MUSICS, the melody has Mohanlal playing the caring husband and the indulgent dad to the hilt.
The film also stars Vishal and Hansika, who are making their Malayalam debut with the film, and Telugu actors Raashi Khanna and Srikanth.
