Earlier, India claimed a historic bronze in sepak takraw with the women's regu team losing to Thailand in the semifinal. India also bagged two more medals in archery as the women's recurve team won bronze and the men's team clinched silver.
HS Prannoy, who has been struggling with a back injury, lost to China's Li Shifeng in the men's singles badminton semifinal and had to be content with a bronze medal. In wrestling Sonam Malik defeated China's Jia Long to win bronze in women's wrestling freestyle 62kg event. Kiran and Aman also won bronze in their respective categories. The men's bridge team clinched silver.
India sealed a dominating win against Nepal in the women's kabaddi semifinal. The Indian women scripted an easy 61-17 win to seal a final berth, which is also the highest score that they have achieved in this Games. Their previous best was 56 points against South Korea. Meanwhile, the men's kabaddi team thrashed Pakistan to enter the final.
