PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN ARE CROWNED UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS IN BACK-TO-BACK YEARS!

Arsenal vs PSG LIVE Score, UEFA Champions League 2026: Is this finally Arsenal's year? One of the most popular clubs in the world, there remains one massive gap in their trophy cabinet – shaped like the Big Ears, the UEFA Champions League trophy. Twenty years on from when they last played in a final for Europe's premier tournament, they have made it back, after ending their Premier League drought and looking like a team of destiny.

But between them and their moment stands a titanic Paris Saint-Germain side, one which has been hammering goals for fun right through the knockout stage, and enters with the intention of defending their title. Luis Enrique's team are hungry to make it back-to-back wins as the most talented side in Europe, full of attacking riches. But their challenge is to face the most solid defence in Europe, one which barely concedes goals and makes its pay by forcing teams to play their way.

It's hard to pick a favourite in this contest – PSG are in high form with some well-rested players, while Arsenal have had to survive a gruelling Premier League title race. But equally, Arsenal have just the tools to pull off the upset against PSG, and are designed to come out on top in the scrappy kind of games that big finals can often produce.

As the dust settles… double delight for PSG, and the long wait continues for Arsenal

An air of melancholy about Arsenal as some shellshocked faces litter the ground and the crowd at the red corner. Equally, it's all joy in the blue – these fans felt this joy 12 months ago, and are given a taste of it afresh in Budapest tonight.

That brings an end to this thrilling encounter, and to another season of European football. A quick turnaround for many of these stars, who will need to recover quickly and find themselves in North America for the World Cup in a couple of weeks.

May 31, 2026, 24:31:54 IST

Gabriel to keep Arsenal in it… BLAZES IT OVER THE BAR AND PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN GO BACK-TO-BACK AS CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE!

Gabriel Magalhaes, with so many key blocks all season for Arsenal, to keep them alive… HE HITS IT TOO HIGH! IT GOES FLYING OVER THE BAR INTO THE PSG FANS WHO ARE BLOWING THE ROOF OF THE PUSKAS ARENA, AS THEIR TEAM IS CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE ONCE AGAIN!

May 31, 2026, 24:30:27 IST

Lucas Beraldo… wraps it inside the post, 4-3! Pressure on Arsenal

Lucas Beraldo take the fourth… didn't need to be that good as Raya goes too early but it's very good, and all the pressure onto Arsenal!

May 31, 2026, 24:29:38 IST

Gabriel Martinelli next up… thumps it home! 3-3

Martinelli next… keeps his nerve! Safonov goes the wrong way, and that rings the back of the net. Onto the decisive fifth kicks, it's already sudden death.

May 31, 2026, 24:28:40 IST

Achraf Hakimi… sends Raya the wrong way for a fresh lead!

PSG's other full-back steps up, and he makes no mistake. Raya goes right, Hakimi goes left. 3-2 Paris.

May 31, 2026, 24:27:53 IST

Declan Rice, Arsenal's lighthouse… guides it in to level it 2-2!

Declan Rice takes so many of Arsenal's dead balls but this is the most important of his career… nicely done! Levels things up, bottom right again as Safonov remains rooted! Level terms.

May 31, 2026, 24:26:54 IST

Nuno Mendes to consolidate… SAVED BY DAVID RAYA!

Nuno Mendes next up for PSG, has played all 120 minutes… and Raya has his number! Mendes doesn't get the height on it, Raya goes the right way, and bats it away to give Arsenal the lifeline they need! Big save again!

May 31, 2026, 24:25:50 IST

Eberechi Eze for Arsenal… DRAGS IT WIDE!

The London boy steps up with the 10 on his back… BUT HE PULLS IT WIDE! Hesitates in his run-up but Safonov doesn't bite, and Eze gets greedy trying to find the bottom left! Nowhere close and it's advantage PSG now!

May 31, 2026, 24:24:37 IST

Desire Doue next up… slides it in, 2-1

Cool-headed, and keeper goes wrong way again. Every shot thus far to the right side of the goal. No complications.

May 31, 2026, 24:23:53 IST

Viktor Gyokeres for the riposte… same result! 1-1

Arsenal's Swedish striker, in the city of his family's descent, up first for the Gunners. A good taker, and cool as you like. Bottom right, Safonov wrong way.

May 31, 2026, 24:23:02 IST

Goncalo Ramos shoots first for PSG… fires to the top corner!

Portuguese striker Goncalo Ramos puts his hand up first. I smade to wait but is clinical – goes top right side-foot, and Raya goes the wrong way. 1-0.

May 31, 2026, 24:20:44 IST

PSG to shoot first, and towards their end

A pair of tosses – first to see which end, which Hakimi wins and wants it to go towards the end where all the PSG fans are making the noise.

And PSG will also shoot first – pressure will be on Arsenal to play catch-up.

May 31, 2026, 24:15:36 IST

Penalties it is!

Arsenal with a couple of opportunities to try and find a winner, but charged down by PSG on two occasions to take it through to the penalty shootout. How's your bottle?

May 31, 2026, 24:07:31 IST

112' – 10 years since the last CL final shootout

The last time we saw a penalty shootout was in the Madrid Derby final in 2015/16 ,when Cristiano Ronaldo fired in the winner to give his team the glory on that night. It looks like we are going that way – who will have that moment tonight, if we do?

May 31, 2026, 24:01:23 IST

107' – big hand from Raya to keep it away from Ramos!

More good proactive keeping from Raya. Barcola on the end of a looping ball knocks it into the mixer, and Ramos is rushing in. Nearly gets there but Raya beats him to it to get it away.

Zabarnyi and Beraldo on for Marquinhos and Vitinha.

May 30, 2026, 23:57:08 IST

105' – half-time of extra-time

That's the midway point. And the point where teams start planning for penalties. Certainly looks it's going that way now – tired legs despite the subs en masse, and little fluidity because of them.

May 30, 2026, 23:50:47 IST

102' – Arsenal cry out for a penalty but referee not interested! Bench is furious

BIG PENALTY SHOT FROM ARSENAL! Madueke has the better of Mendes and charges into the box – looks like Mendes bundles him over but the referee thinks it's nothing more than a coming together!

Arteta and his staff can't believe it – they're all on their feet demanding what is going on!

May 30, 2026, 23:45:51 IST

98' – tentative start to extra 30

PSG bring on Zaire-Emery for Fabian Ruiz. Not much else to report – the passes not clicking for either team quite yet with over half the starting XI swapped out.

May 30, 2026, 23:41:01 IST

ET: 91' – Arsenal complete their stack of changes

All five regulation switches plus the bonus sixth for ET also made by Arsenal. Zubimendi and Eze on, Havertz and Lewis-Skelly off after their shift.

May 30, 2026, 23:33:38 IST

90+7' – last kick of regulation and Barcola slams it into the side-netting! Full-time

ALMOST SOMETHING SPECTACULAR! Arsenal do go for it with bodies in the box late on, but they also suffer the consequence of the late counter-attack! So similar to Havertz's run in the first half, Barcola has the legs to make the room for himself, but on his weaker foot the contact isn't as good! Flashed wide with the headlines in his eyes.

Full-time – on and on we go.

May 30, 2026, 23:29:31 IST

90+3' – last three minutes of regulation

Into the second half of injury time. Anything now will likely settle it. Will either team take the risk to go hard in the closing moments? Or is ET around the corner.

May 30, 2026, 23:25:57 IST

89' – Vtinha's sweeping attempt not too far away! Top of the net

Doue does well to run at the Arsenal defenders and eat up some ground, before laying it off for Vitinha with space to shoot. He connects well, and has Raya scrambling – but can't quite get it under the bar! A shade over the bar and Arsenal survive.

May 30, 2026, 23:23:45 IST

87' – Arsenal have PSG on the counter but the pass is fluffed by Martinelli!

That might have been Arsenal's chance! Mis-kick at the halfway line allows Martinelli to pick up the ball and find himself in a 3v3 with Gyokeres and Madueke streaking ahead of him. But he tries to play through a pass and gets it nowhere close to either of his teammates! Sloppy from the substitute.

May 30, 2026, 23:22:25 IST

85' – BARCOLA THROUGH BUT RAYA ALERT TO TAKE IT OFF HIM!

Bradley Barcola comes on and nearly has an immediate impact! Wrestles past Timber and then gets the legs on him to open up a gap. Speedy enough to get ahead of him, but the touch into the box is slightly heavy and allows Raya to swoop in bravely and clean it up. Good alert keeping.

May 30, 2026, 23:20:17 IST

82' – Martinelli, Madueke on, and Saka off! Barcola on for Kvaratskhelia

Couple of changes on the wings, as Arsenal swap in Madueke and Martinelli for Saka and Trossard.

For PSG, Kvaratskhelia taken off for Barcola.

May 30, 2026, 23:15:04 IST

77' – back and forth!Pacho clears at one end, Kvaratskhelia strikes post at the other

The game has come alive in Budapest! Arsenal still capable of making openings – Timber nearly gets it through for a shot, but Pacho arrives to get a swinging boot and clear it.

Kvaratskhelia leaps onto a loose ball and charges all the way towards Raya from inside his own half – no catching him, but a block gets in the way of his shot and deflects it onto the outside of the post!

May 30, 2026, 23:08:33 IST

72' – space opening up for PSG now, but Dembele spurns chance

Loos from Raya – pass into midfield nowhere close to an Arsenal man, and Dembele can run at his man. Scuffs hit shot after getting some space, but here's the threat PSG possess in a game which is even. Definitely grown into it a lot more.

May 30, 2026, 23:02:49 IST

66' – double switch for Arsenal, Gyokeres and Timber on

And an immediate tactical switch from Arteta. Mosquera, already one a yellow and who gave away the pen, taken off for Timber for his first game in 10 weeks. Up front, Odegaard taken off for a more attacking-minded player as Gyokeres comes on.

May 30, 2026, 23:00:50 IST

65' – Dembele… strokes it in! 1-1 and Paris are back in it

Cool as you like! Dembele steps up with the pressure on his shoulders, but sends Raya the wrong way and fires into the bottom corner anyway!

It's 1-1, the CL final is ALIVE.

May 30, 2026, 22:58:15 IST

62' – PENALTY FOR PARIS! Kvaratskhelia brought down and PSG have a chance

PENALTY FOR PSG! Good work on the left wing – a quick one-two on the left-edge of the box between Kvaratskhelia and Dembele, and Mosquera is in trouble stuck behind the Georgian. A clumsy tackle to bring him down.

VAR check but you doubt this gets overturned…

May 30, 2026, 22:56:27 IST

60' – hour mark and clock begins to tick down for PSG

Not quite panic stations with 30 minutes to go but every passing minute from here the pressure will grow that much more. Equally, a big test for Arsenal's focus – that part of their game has rarely let them down all season.

May 30, 2026, 22:51:22 IST

54' – Saka next in the book, free-kick in shooting position for PSG

Bukayo Saka gets a yellow card as he goes hard into a tackle on Doue – too hard, and a little too high, as far as the referee is concerned.

Hakimi lines up the subsequent free-kick… comfortable for Raya as it comes in low.

May 30, 2026, 22:47:59 IST

52' – PSG settle back into their timid rhythm

Enrique won't be pleased – the intensity simply not there from PSG. A foul throw to get on his nerves just that little bit more as well.

May 30, 2026, 22:42:37 IST

46' – second half begins, and already more intent from PSG

Back for the second forty-five, and PSG need to try and spark some life into their legs. They do just that, as they drive down. A decent ball swung in from the left side, and has to be cleared – but bright from PSG.

An early yellow card in the second half as Mosquera receives a caution for too long a delay on a throw-in. Referee not standing for attempts to burn some time off the clock.

May 30, 2026, 22:25:33 IST

HT – ARS 1-0 PSG

That's the half-time – Saka confused as he isn't allowed to take the corner, but the referee notices the casual pace and doesn't allow the London team to swing it in

Arsenal with the narrow lead at half-time, but have looked much the better team. PSG need big switches at half-time, because at the moment they are running into a brick wall time and again.

May 30, 2026, 22:22:18 IST

45+3' – Havertz with another massive chance but PSG survive!

Beautiful stuff from Arsenal! Whenever they go on the front foot they manage to create openings, and it's a lovely dummy from Saka that allows Odegaard to play in Havertz with acres of space on the right wing. He lags a little in getting the shot away, so PSG can just about get bodies in the way to prevent the German from making it 2-0!

May 30, 2026, 22:17:09 IST

43' – first open look for PSG but header goes over!

Excellent work from Nuno Mendes down the left wing but PSG can't convert the chance that follows!

Mendes picks it up and bullies his way past Mosquera and into the box. Arsenal can't touch him and he fires a low ball square – nobody there to meet it, but the clearance finds the head of Fabian Ruiz. He can't keep his effort down – snapped over the bar! Would like to have done better there.

May 30, 2026, 22:10:20 IST

37' – PSG finally have space to run into but a big Gabriel block!

Terrific from the Brazilian centre-back! PSG finally have the chance to run at the Arsenal backline, Dembele gets it on the right wing. Thinks he has generated the space to shoot after cutting onto his left foot, but there's Gabriel again with a block to ensure Raya remains unbothered.

May 30, 2026, 22:08:45 IST

36' – Arsenal spring counter and win wide free-kick

PSG just unable to find a route through two deep banks of four for Arsenal at the moment. Rice can win a loose ball, a couple of passes and Saka is sprung free. Nuno Mendes has to bring him down – lucky not to get a yellow.

Rice swings in the free-kick, but the subsequent header from deep balloons over the bar.

May 30, 2026, 22:04:10 IST

31' – another clean tackle from Gabriel to stop PSG's first good team move

Taken over half an hour for PSG to really play some of their silky football, but even then, they can't quite pick the lock. Neves knocks it into Doue's path to run onto inside the box, but Gabriel sticks out a leg and wins it cleanly. That's what he does best – PSG will hope that's a sign of things to come though, getting the ball and some personnel into the box.

May 30, 2026, 21:59:25 IST

26' – smooth move from Arsenal, brave from Safonov!

Good football from Arsenal! Myles Lewis-Skelly glides through the midfield very nicely and picks out Odegaard, who finds Saka in a 1v1 on the right wing. Saka makes a separation and swings in a devilish low cross. Trossard is lurking, but Safonov gets across to prevent it from getting to the Arsenal attacker.

Safonov rung in the head by a teammate's knee – brief pause.

May 30, 2026, 21:53:59 IST

21' – PSG can't pick a way through Arsenal yet

PSG being held off, as expected. Arsenal compact behind the ball and not allowing PSG any of the space they like to work with.

May 30, 2026, 21:49:28 IST

16' – questions over a handball after Saka fluffs a clearance

Awkward for Saka! Corner for PSG that doesn't find any PSG player. Saka tries to clear it away but the bounce eats him up – PSG appeal for a hand, and tell you what, replays make it look like he definitely touched it with one hand if not both! But referee unmoved, and no VAR intervention either. Something that might become a talking point for sure.

May 30, 2026, 21:45:39 IST

13' – Ruiz flashes it across goal but can't test Raya

Fabian Ruiz with a good run but snatches at his shot from a wide position in the box. Needed something very accurate to beat Raya from there but couldn't find it – but PSG get a shot away.

May 30, 2026, 21:44:21 IST

11' – Gabriel nicks it off Kvaratskhelia's boot!

Ball nearly trickles through to Kvaratskhelia in a shooting position inside the box, but Gabriel rcovers to knock it away for a corner! Arsenal's defenders pumped up – protecting a lead is something they will pride themselves on.

May 30, 2026, 21:40:03 IST

5' – GOALLLLLLL FOR ARSENAL! KAI HAVERTZ BRINGS THE HOUSE DOWN

KAI HAVERTZ HAS DONE IT AGAIN! HIS SECOND GOAL IN A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL, AND HE HAS GIVEN ARSENAL THE LEAD INSIDE FIVE MINUTES!

PSG were dominating the ball but couldn't get out of their half – charged down by Trossard near the halfway line, Havertz picks it up, charges down the inside left-half. No support, but he has the confidence to go alone – backs himself to hit it hard and strong, and fires it into the roof of the net!

Arsenal have a lead!

May 30, 2026, 21:32:46 IST

1' – Arsenal kick off and here we go!

KICK OFF IN BUDAPEST! Arsenal get it rolling – who will start the better?

May 30, 2026, 21:31:38 IST

Teams line up for photos and captains swap pennants

Almost ready to go – Paris always carrying a vocal and powerful travelling force with them to make the atmosphere theirs, but Arsenal will be in voice and not far behind.

May 30, 2026, 21:20:39 IST

PSG's goalscorers vs Arsenal's defence – but what about the other way around?

Stylistically, the template of this match is fairly clear. PSG will go quick and vertical at the Arsenal backline, trying to force overloads and move a staunch defence side to side and create space for their frontline to pop shots off.

But this game could well be decided in the other half of the pitch – Arsenal are not the most voluminous creators, but tend to find a path through. Do PSG have the defence that could stop that, given how much they bled against Bayern?

May 30, 2026, 21:01:29 IST

Half an hour to kick off

Last 30 minutes of warm up and team talks before we kick off in Budapest, where the Puskas Arena hosts this final.

Just a reminder of the stakes – Arsenal yet to win a CL, exactly where PSG were a year ago. PSG, seeking to go back-to-back, a rarity in the modern Champions League, trying to create a dynasty.
