The game has come alive in Budapest! Arsenal still capable of making openings – Timber nearly gets it through for a shot, but Pacho arrives to get a swinging boot and clear it.

Kvaratskhelia leaps onto a loose ball and charges all the way towards Raya from inside his own half – no catching him, but a block gets in the way of his shot and deflects it onto the outside of the post!

Loos from Raya – pass into midfield nowhere close to an Arsenal man, and Dembele can run at his man. Scuffs hit shot after getting some space, but here's the threat PSG possess in a game which is even. Definitely grown into it a lot more.

And an immediate tactical switch from Arteta. Mosquera, already one a yellow and who gave away the pen, taken off for Timber for his first game in 10 weeks. Up front, Odegaard taken off for a more attacking-minded player as Gyokeres comes on.

Cool as you like! Dembele steps up with the pressure on his shoulders, but sends Raya the wrong way and fires into the bottom corner anyway!

PENALTY FOR PSG! Good work on the left wing – a quick one-two on the left-edge of the box between Kvaratskhelia and Dembele, and Mosquera is in trouble stuck behind the Georgian. A clumsy tackle to bring him down.

VAR check but you doubt this gets overturned…

Not quite panic stations with 30 minutes to go but every passing minute from here the pressure will grow that much more. Equally, a big test for Arsenal's focus – that part of their game has rarely let them down all season.

Bukayo Saka gets a yellow card as he goes hard into a tackle on Doue – too hard, and a little too high, as far as the referee is concerned.

Hakimi lines up the subsequent free-kick… comfortable for Raya as it comes in low.

Enrique won't be pleased – the intensity simply not there from PSG. A foul throw to get on his nerves just that little bit more as well.

Back for the second forty-five, and PSG need to try and spark some life into their legs. They do just that, as they drive down. A decent ball swung in from the left side, and has to be cleared – but bright from PSG.

An early yellow card in the second half as Mosquera receives a caution for too long a delay on a throw-in. Referee not standing for attempts to burn some time off the clock.

Arsenal with the narrow lead at half-time, but have looked much the better team. PSG need big switches at half-time, because at the moment they are running into a brick wall time and again.

Beautiful stuff from Arsenal! Whenever they go on the front foot they manage to create openings, and it's a lovely dummy from Saka that allows Odegaard to play in Havertz with acres of space on the right wing. He lags a little in getting the shot away, so PSG can just about get bodies in the way to prevent the German from making it 2-0!

Excellent work from Nuno Mendes down the left wing but PSG can't convert the chance that follows!

Mendes picks it up and bullies his way past Mosquera and into the box. Arsenal can't touch him and he fires a low ball square – nobody there to meet it, but the clearance finds the head of Fabian Ruiz. He can't keep his effort down – snapped over the bar! Would like to have done better there.

Terrific from the Brazilian centre-back! PSG finally have the chance to run at the Arsenal backline, Dembele gets it on the right wing. Thinks he has generated the space to shoot after cutting onto his left foot, but there's Gabriel again with a block to ensure Raya remains unbothered.

PSG just unable to find a route through two deep banks of four for Arsenal at the moment. Rice can win a loose ball, a couple of passes and Saka is sprung free. Nuno Mendes has to bring him down – lucky not to get a yellow.

Taken over half an hour for PSG to really play some of their silky football, but even then, they can't quite pick the lock. Neves knocks it into Doue's path to run onto inside the box, but Gabriel sticks out a leg and wins it cleanly. That's what he does best – PSG will hope that's a sign of things to come though, getting the ball and some personnel into the box.

Good football from Arsenal! Myles Lewis-Skelly glides through the midfield very nicely and picks out Odegaard, who finds Saka in a 1v1 on the right wing. Saka makes a separation and swings in a devilish low cross. Trossard is lurking, but Safonov gets across to prevent it from getting to the Arsenal attacker.

Awkward for Saka! Corner for PSG that doesn't find any PSG player. Saka tries to clear it away but the bounce eats him up – PSG appeal for a hand, and tell you what, replays make it look like he definitely touched it with one hand if not both! But referee unmoved, and no VAR intervention either. Something that might become a talking point for sure.

Fabian Ruiz with a good run but snatches at his shot from a wide position in the box. Needed something very accurate to beat Raya from there but couldn't find it – but PSG get a shot away.

Ball nearly trickles through to Kvaratskhelia in a shooting position inside the box, but Gabriel rcovers to knock it away for a corner! Arsenal's defenders pumped up – protecting a lead is something they will pride themselves on.

KAI HAVERTZ HAS DONE IT AGAIN! HIS SECOND GOAL IN A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL, AND HE HAS GIVEN ARSENAL THE LEAD INSIDE FIVE MINUTES!

PSG were dominating the ball but couldn't get out of their half – charged down by Trossard near the halfway line, Havertz picks it up, charges down the inside left-half. No support, but he has the confidence to go alone – backs himself to hit it hard and strong, and fires it into the roof of the net!

Almost ready to go – Paris always carrying a vocal and powerful travelling force with them to make the atmosphere theirs, but Arsenal will be in voice and not far behind.

Stylistically, the template of this match is fairly clear. PSG will go quick and vertical at the Arsenal backline, trying to force overloads and move a staunch defence side to side and create space for their frontline to pop shots off.

But this game could well be decided in the other half of the pitch – Arsenal are not the most voluminous creators, but tend to find a path through. Do PSG have the defence that could stop that, given how much they bled against Bayern?
