Ryan Babel's World Cup is in doubt after the Holland winger injured his right hamstring while training in Austria.

There was no immediate word on the seriousness of the Liverpool forward's injury, which was reported by the Dutch media attending the session in Austria. he was taken to hospital for scans and the extent of his injury will be revealed tomorrow.

Babel missed the 2008 European Championship after tearing ankle ligaments on the eve of that tournament and has endured a difficult season at Anfield.
