Here is the list of top 10 overall picks who got selected in the 2023 NFL draft in round one.

Round one of 2023 NFL draft got concluded with much fanfare on Thursday night in Kansas City. 31 overall picks were selected by various teams. With the No.1 overall pick, Carolina Panthers selected Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. The last pick of the day was Felix Anudike-Uzomah who was selected by Kansas City Chiefs.

Here is the list of top 10 overall picks who got selected in the 2023 NFL draft in round one.

1. Bryce Young

Bryce Young is 1.83 m tall quarterback from Alabama. In 2021, he won three prestigious honours namely Davey O'Brien Award, Heisman Memorial Trophy and Maxwell Award for his tremendous peformances. He has been selected as the No.1 overall pick by Carolina Panthers (via trade).

In an interaction with the media after his selection, Young said “It’s surreal. It’s a dream come true. As amazing of a moment this is, I’m going to try to live in this moment. I can’t wait to get to work and start building off of it,”.

2. C.J. Stroud

At 1.91 m tall and weighing 98 kg, C.J. Stroud is a quarterback from Ohio State. He has been selected as the No.2 overall pick by Houston Texans.

3. Will Anderson Jr.

Linebacker from Alabama, Will Anderson Jr. is 1.93 m tall and weighs 110 kg. In 2022, he received Chuck Bednarik Award and Bronko Nagurski Award. He has been selected as the No.3 overall pick by Houston Texans (via trade).

4. Anthony Richardson

Quarterback from Florida, Anthony Richardson is 1.93 m tall and weighs 105 kg. He has been selected as the No.4 overall pick by Indianapolis Colts.

After his selection, Richardson talked about performance pressure and said "I feel like I've been dealing with pressure my whole life, so pressure isn't anything new for me."

5. Devon Witherspoon

Cornerback from Illinois, Devon Witherspoon is 1.85 m tall and weighs 81 kg. He has been selected as the No. 5 overall pick by Seattle Seahawks (via trade).

Talking about his selection, Witherspoon said “Just because they told me about the culture they have there, the Legion of Boom, and the history they have there. I know what it takes to be great like that. There is so much going on right now, I can’t even really describe it, but I am glad that they chose me. I’m just glad that I am going to be a Seattle Seahawk.”

6. Paris Johnson Jr.

At 1.98 m tall and weighing 140 kg, Paris Johnson Jr. is an Offensive Tackle player. He has been selected as the No.6 overall pick by Arizona Cardinals (via trade).

7. Tyree Wilson

At 1.98 m tall and weighing 124 kg, Tyree Wilson plays at defensive end position for Texas Tech. He has been selected as the No.7 overall pick by Las Vegas Raiders.

8. Bijan Robinson

Running Back from Texas, Bijan Robinson is 1.83 m tall and weighs 99 kg. He has been selected as the No.8 overall pick by Atlanta Falcons. In 2022, he received the Doak Walker Award.

9. Jalen Carter

At 1.91 m tall and weighing 136 kg, Jalen Carter is a defensive tackle player from Georgia. He has been selected as the No.9 overall pick by Philadelphia Eagles (via trade).

10. Darnell Wright

An offensive tackle player from Tennessee, Darnell Wright is 1.98 m tall and weighs 151 kg. He has been selected as the No. 10 pick by Chicago Bears (via trade). Wright excels in the run game, creating easy movement and opening up alleys on down, kick-out and double-team blocks.

Meanwhile, rounds two and three of the 2023 NFL draft will take place on Friday. In round two, Pittsburgh Steelers will have the first pick, followed by Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts and the Los Angeles Rams. A total of 259 players will be picked by different teams by the end of round seven on Saturday, April 29.
