Meta’s popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, has announced multiple new features for iOS and Android users. These features will likely make communication and sharing media more intuitive. One of the new intuitive features includes sharing Live Photos and Motion Photos with sound and movements. Now, iPhone and Android users may not have to rely on file-sharing apps, because it can be done directly via WhatsApp. Among other features, WhatsApp also bring Meta AI-powered chat background, allowing users to customise their group or individual chats. 1. Share Live and Motion pictures: WhatsApp will now allow iOS and Android users to share Live Photos and Motion Photos in the app. These photos turn into GIF-like photos with audio and animation, allowing users to share them as a video on social media platforms.
2. Meta AI-backed chat themes: WhatsApp is rolling out new chat themes with Meta AI, allowing users to be creative and generate their own custom chat themes. Chat Themes were already there in the app, but now it gets an AI touch, which will bring greater customisations.
3. Video call backgrounds with Meta AI: During video calls, users can rely on Meta AI to generate unique backgrounds. These backgrounds can also be used when capturing photos and videos within the app.
4. Document scanning on Android: For Android users, they can finally scan, edit, and send documents from WhatsApp. This reduces the hassle of using third-party apps and sharing documents more seamlessly.
5. Seamless group search: WhatsApp has also announced a new feature that makes searching group names easy. Now, users just have to type the name of any person from the group, and it will showcase all the groups you have in common.
6. Lastly, WhatsApp is bringing new sticker packs from the Fearless Bird, School Days, and Vacation packs, allowing users to express their emotions better on chats with friends and family.
