Two Jammu and Kashmir officials face the music

In two separate orders by the general administration department, the Jammu and Kashmir government ordered the suspension of Abdul Hafiz Shah, JKAS, regional director, survey and land records (ex-offico settlement officer) and attachment of Hilal Ahmad Mir, JKAS, project officer, wage employment (ACD), Kupwara, on Monday.

Jiah Khan suicide case: Special CBI court acquits Sooraj Pancholi

While acquitting Sooraj, the court observed that Jiah had suicidal tendencies and had attempted to kill herself earlier as well. The court said at that time, Sooraj had helped her and saved her life. Besides, the court said, the deceased had consulted doctor for stress management.
