All Tokyo-bound wrestlers, including women, are in Almaty for the ongoing Asian Championships. The WFI in consultation with authorities concerned though has suspended the camps at SAI’s Sonepat and Lucknow centres.

An Athletics Federation of India (AFI) official confirmed that the lanky athlete from the Kozhikode district in Kerala got injured at the high-altitude training base in Colorado Springs, USA in early November and had returned last week to undergo rehabilitation in Mumbai.

Jinson Johnson and the Women’s 4x400m relay team clinched gold medals while Seema Punia and PU Chitra settled for bronze in Women’s Discus and Women’s 1500m respectively on Day 12 of Asian Games 2018. The Men’s 4x400m team added another silver to the kitty as India had a good outing in athletics.
