Amit Shah to attend key global meet, focus on curbing terror funding

Discussions at the third NMFT conference being held in New Delhi will focus on global trends in terrorism and terrorist financing, use of formal and informal channels of funds for terrorism, emerging technologies and terrorist financing and requisite international co-operation to address related challenges, the ministry of home affairs (MHA) said in a statement.

Amit Shah, the MHA ministry said, will participate in the conference and convey India’s determination in its fight against terrorism as well as its support systems for achieving success against it. (PTI)

Delhi govt told to declare Rohingya settlement site ‘detention centre’: MHA

The clarification comes after Hardeep Puri said the Centre plans to resettle around 1,100 Rohingyas, currently living in tents in Madanpur Khadar area of the national capital, to flats with basic facilities and round-the-clock security in another part of Delhi.

Delhi's three civic bodies to be merged from May 22: Centre's notification 

According to the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2022, the central government will appoint a “special officer" to run the new unified civic body until the first meeting of the corporation is held.

A total of 24.22 million births and 8.12 million deaths were registered in India in 2020, according to a CRS report released on May 3 by the Office of the Registrar General of India under MHA.

CBI, MHA, other govt departments apply for apprentices

The ministry of skill and entrepreneurship has sought information regarding apprenticeship opportunities across Union ministries, as it embarks on an effort to place 1,000 apprentices in 69 ministries and departments to encourage young people to learn “critical skills for securing decent employment”.

FCRA: According to the home ministry dashboard, only 16,829 organisations are registered under FCRA in the country on January 1, Saturday, down from 22,832 organisations listed on Friday.

Centre extends validity of FCRA registration of NGOs till March 31

The relief, however, will not be extended to organisations such as Missionaries of Charity (MoS), as their applications for a renewal of FCRA have already been rejected, the home ministry said.
