Railways won’t resume concessional fares for senior citizens, says minister

The Indian Railways has, however, continued concession in fare to four categories of persons with disabilities, eleven categories of patients and students.

India to supply locomotives, technology to Bangladesh railways

The matter figured when Bangladesh high commissioner Muhammad Imran met railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday and discussed various issues related to the railways sector, including development of infrastructure and improvement of capacity of Bangladesh Railways.

No untoward incident amid ‘Rail Roko’, negligible impact on services: Railways

How the railways has fared since the suspension of passenger services

On April 16, the railways marked its 167th birth anniversary against the backdrop of no passenger trains plying on its network for 25 days - the first time this has happened in its history, thanks to the lockdown.

Covid-19: Railways set to cancel 39 lakh tickets due to lockdown extension

With the national transporter allowing tickets to be booked during the 21-day lockdown for journeys after April 14, around 39 lakh bookings were made by passengers hoping that trains will be in operation post-lockdown.
