Heavy rainfall has flooded swathes of the state in Kota, Jhalawar, Baran and Bundi districts. It forced the release of excess water from the Kota barrage and flooded low-lying areas along the banks of the Chambal, officials said.

Delhi traffic police data shows that of the 57 fines issued to school bus drivers, including those of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses that get affiliated with schools, at least 18 were for speeding while 25 of these drivers were caught rash driving.
