Lucknow: Lack of beds to patient care, hospitals in poor health

A four-hour overnight spot check by HT exposes ailments in the healthcare system amid the harsh reality of unavailability of beds at KGMU Trauma Centre and elsewhere in Lucknow. Numerous patients are left with no option but to return home or take admission in pvt hosps. Not much seems to have changed even after the death of a patient at the Lari Cardiology Centre recently.

Dy CM orders blacklisting of firm over substandard bricks in Chandauli

UP Budget 2024-25: State capital’s super speciality healthcare gets “special care”

Medical education institutes in the state capital of Lucknow received a boost in funding for research, expansion, and equipment in the recent budget. King George's Medical University, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, and Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences were among the institutes that received increased funds. The budget also allocated funds for a cancer institute, Panchkarma training centers, and a research and treatment center for Unani medicine.
