A local street vendor selling crocheted flowers has taken the internet by storm after delivering a profoundly progressive and moving take on gender equality. When questioned by a digital content creator about whether women face oppression, the craftsman delivered a stunning critique of modern relationships and superficial societal standards. He boldly called out husbands who treat their wives like domestic help and slammed men who abandon or cheat on their partners over the natural physical changes of pregnancy and childbirth. His articulate, raw honesty has left thousands of internet users thoroughly impressed.
“Respecting women is a character thing,” content creator Sonali Singh wrote on Instagram and shared a video of her conversation with a street vendor. She asks a crocheted flower seller, “Are women oppressed? Do you agree with this opinion?”
The man replies that he absolutely agrees with the statement and goes on to show that nowadays people just love to show off on social media. A text insert on the video indicates Singh’s reaction to the man’s response, which reads “An educated English-speaking man might have said no.”
In his viral remarks, the man notes that women are too often relegated to household chores by husbands who assume domestic work is their sole duty. He further criticises men who cheat after their wives give birth, stating that such actions stem from a shallow obsession with physical looks and a complete disregard for the physical toll of pregnancy.
The man concludes his speech by asking, “Wo pyaar kahaan gaya (Where did the love go)?”, adding, “If someone changes physically, should the love go away?”

Singh, in a comment on her post, shared how she came to interview the man. “He saw me interviewing the man in the last reel. That man was so triggering he shared man & woman are not equal and can't be. Once I finished the interview, he said, ‘I love your thoughts and totally agree with you,’ and started sharing beautiful things. Then I approached & said can you share your thoughts on camera. He was so happy to do it and he was not performative at all.”
She added that he sells crocheted flowers in Delhi’s CP and is working to build an online page for his business. Many shared how they would love to get in touch with the man to buy his products.
