I heard she’s happy: Ssharad Malhotra on Divyanka’s linkups

The actor says he’s accepted the fact that his ex-girlfriend, Divyanka Tripathi, has moved on.

TV stars Divyanka Tripathi and Ssharad Malhotra started dating almost a decade back, when they were working on Banoo Main Teri Dulhann in 2006. When the couple called it quits last year, Divyanka openly spoke about their break-up in the media, and even suggested that Ssharad had commitment issues.

Now, rumours claim that Divyanka is dating her co-star, Vivek Dahiya, from a popular daily soap. Ask Ssharad what he feels about her having moved on, and he says, “I heard she’s happy. I wish her all the best. I will always wish the best for her.”

Though they had a bitter separation, Ssharad says that he is open to being friends with her in the future. “Absolutely. If we happen to bump into each other at a party, social gathering or at any media event, I will definitely go and wish her or probably exchange pleasantries,” says the actor.

Reacting to Divyanka’s statements about their break-up, Ssharad adds, “It’s a personal thing. Maybe she wanted to vent. But when two people are in a relationship, they have their own private moments. And, if for some reason, things don’t work out, you can’t just go around and speak your heart out to anybody and everybody.”
