Game of Thrones left millions of fans wailing in pain last year when it killed Jon Snow, one of the most loved characters on the show. However, the second episode of season six showed on Monday that he does come back to the land of the living. Therefore, now the creators and actors have some much needed explaining to do.

Kit Harington, who plays Snow, kept mum about the fate of this character for an entire year, even faking irritation on being asked about it by fans and media. Now, however, he has apologised to his fans.

“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone,” Harington said in a candid interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing or the show is doing is right.”

Of course, the fans don’t seem to care anymore because they are so excited about his return.
