Rare "praise" by the White House for Palestinian militant group Hamas amid raging conflict with Israel. The White House has said that Hamas is not using American hostages as leverage. Washington even rejected claims that Hamas intends to “play some sort of game” with U.S. captives. Hamas has so far released 85 captives since the ceasefire in Gaza began.
