Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran and Oman are close to finalising a temporary transit route through the Strait of Hormuz, designed to replace the long-standing Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) disrupted by the war. He says naval authorities from both countries are completing the maps and technical details, but stresses that a route agreement alone would not automatically reopen the strait.
