Pakistan is facing renewed debate over a possible administrative shake-up that could transform its four provinces into 12 to 15 smaller units. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal have highlighted governance reforms, while proposals include creating new provinces or empowering local governments across approximately 160 districts.
