Bittu Vs Mann: BJP Leader’s ‘Return Gift’ Protest Over Egg Attack Ends With Police Detention

Former Union minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu was detained by Punjab Police on September 19 after protesting near the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) gate as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s cavalcade passed through the area. Bittu had arrived at the university ahead of Mann’s visit for the Kisan Mela. Reports said he held up a liquor bottle and tomatoes during the protest, while police subsequently took him into custody.
