BJP MLA opposes Munawar Faruqui show, says Hindus will take to the streets

The Telangana BJP is up in arms against stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui's upcoming show in Hyderabad. The controversial comic announced the show after an invite from Telangana minister KT Rama Rao. BJP MLA Raja Singh has written to the Telangana Top Cop, saying the Hyderabad show should not be allowed. In the past few months, at least 12 Munawar Faruqui shows have been cancelled, he recently performed in Mumbai with support from the Congress unit. In January, the comedian was arrested in Indore over 'insulting Hindu gods' in a show and spent a month in jail.
