If you look at the nominations for the year 2007, nine-year-old Darsheel Safary has a first to his credit. For the first time in the history of Filmfare awards, a child actor has been nominated in the category of Best Actor in a Lead Role. Darsheel has been nominated for his portrayal of Ishaan, a dyslexic child in Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par. Aamir too has been nominated but for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role category.
