The water level of the River Ganga in Varanasi has fallen below the warning mark, exposing large stretches of silt along the ghats. The changing riverfront landscape has prompted extensive cleaning and desilting operations as authorities prepare for the upcoming air show at Namo Ghat scheduled for October 22, 23 and 25.
