‘Gross interference’: India slams Turkish President Erdogan’s Kashmir remarks

India has lashed out at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over hi remarks on Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly. India's permanent representative to the United Nations TS Tirumurti lashed out saying that the Turkish President's remarks amount to gross interference in what is India's internal affair. 'We have seen remarks by President of Turkey on Indian UT of Jammu and Kashmir. They constitute gross interference in India's internal affairs and are completely unacceptable. Turkey should learn to respect the sovereignty of other nations and reflect on its policies more deeply,' Tirumurti tweeted. The Turkish President during his speech had said that the Kashmir 'conflict' is still a 'burning issue.' He further said that they are in favour of solving this issue through dialogue within the framework of the United Nations resolutions, especially in line with the expectations of the people of Kashmir. The statement comes days after reports of Indian intel agencies checking the functioning of Turkish NGOs in Kashmir. Watch the full video for all the details.
