Manmohan Singh takes oath as Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan

Congress leader and former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh took oath as Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan. The oath was administered by the upper house chairman M Venkaiah Naidu. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ghulam Nabi Azad and interim president Sonia Gandhi were present during the ceremony. Singh tooko a brief break from the Upper House when he earlier retired on June 14 this year.
