‘No effect on me’: Iran Foreign Minister on US sanctions

Iranian Foreign Minister responded to financial sanctions imposed on him by the US govt. In a tweet, Mohammad Javad Zarif assured the US that the policy had 'no effect' on him. Sanctions have been seen as part of its escalating pressure against the Islamic Republic. A month earlier, Trump signed an executive order placing sanctions on Iran's supreme leader. US officials said Zarif's travels to New York for official UN business will not be inhibited.
