The Conservator of Forests overseeing Haldwani Division in Uttarakhand has recruited into its services, an African Rhodesian Richback breed of dog, to apprehend poachers active in the region. The specially trained canine would ease the anti-poachers operation. Apart from routine patrolling in the possible locales frequented by the poachers, this trained dog has been taken around congested colonies and railway stations to catch hold the criminals from the gang of poachers.
