Bhandaras organised for pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir

Voluntary fora and allied social organisations have set up community kitchens known as Bhandaras for the benefit of Hindu pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra. Such efforts of serving free food have ushered a sort of respite for the pilgrims. Prabhu Dayal, an organiser of a Bhandara, said that these mass feast venues are the best way to cater to the basic needs of the pilgrims who have arrived at the pilgrimage. The pilgrims on their part are very satisfied with the arrangements that have been made at the community kitchens.
