Two bomb blasts killed seven persons at Guwahati, the capital of Assam on Monday, just a day prior to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's scheduled visit to the state. Police suspect the state's main separatist group, the United Liberation Front of Asom or ULFA, was behind the attacks. The first bomb exploded in a crowded parking area in front of a restaurant in Guwahati, on the 30th anniversary of the founding of ULFA.
