Slamming home minister P Chidambaram hours after the Madras high court declined to dismiss a petition challenging his election to the Lok Sabha in 2009, BJP president Nitin Gadkari has said that the minister must quit on moral grounds. Gadkari also added that the Congress leadership is trying to protect him by keeping silence on the charges of corruption levelled against him. Meanwhile, reacting on the BJP's comments, Congress leader Salman Khurshid has said that just because BJP is demanding a resignation it doesn't mean he should resign.
