Congress-led coalition loses ally in TN

In a blow to India's ruling Congress party, a regional ally on Thursday said that it would forger a new regional alliance. The Pattali Makkal Katchi party said that it would join Congress opponent the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in the general elections to be held during April and May.
