Controversy over land transfer

The issue over land transfers to a revered Hindu shrine in Kashmir has snowballed into a full-blown controversy. The Jammu and Kashmir state government recently transferred nearly 40 hectares of forest land to the Shri Amarnath-ji Shrine Board for 23.1 million rupees.
