CPI(M) accuses the US of following double standards

Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Saturday criticized the US for supporting Israel's bombing in the Gaza strip. General Secretary of CPI (M), Prakash Karat termed Israeli bombing of Gaza as terrorism and came down heavily on the US administration for support in it. Israel launched the offensive on December 27 with the stated aim of stopping Hamas rocket attacks on Israeli towns from Gaza. According to United Nations about 490 Palestinians have been killed and 2000 wounded.
