FDI sails through Parliament

The UPA government has on Friday won the vote on foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail in the Rajya Sabha. Government has bagged 123 votes against 109 for opposition's motion. Mayawati chose to vote in favour of the UPA government, Mulayam Singh's party MPs staged walkout just minutes before voting.
