Flood situation is grim in Punjab

Flood situation remains grim in Punjab where floodwaters have submerged many villages and has left thousands homeless. Latest reports say that the civil administration has sought the army's help in carrying out rescue operations. The entire region including villages of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Ferozepur and Moga district woke up to floods after the banks on two sides of the river were breached.
