Gorkhas protests on separate homeland

Members of Gorkha Janmukti Morcha or GJM, waging a struggle for separate state for ethnic Gorkha people, on Monday revived their demand by calling indefinite strike of all state government's offices in Darjeeling hills of West Bengal.The protest comes in the wake of tripartite talks that were supposed to be held in November did not convene.The GJM has been organizing protests over the past few months in the Darjeeling Hills over the statehood demand.
