Govt. appointed infrastructure committee recommends rail fare hike

A committee on infrastructure appointed by the central government has recommended a hike in railway fares. Addressing the media persons, the head of the panel Deepak Parekh, who is also the chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC), said that increase in rail fares was the need of the hour.
