Govt denies reports of making CAG a multi-member body

Claiming that he was misquoted, Minister of State in Prime Minister's office V Narayanasamy today denied reports saying that the government is considering making CAG a multi-member body. Earlier, PTI quoted Narayanasamy saying that government is "actively" considering a proposal to make the official auditor a multi-member body. PTI has however stood by its report on Narayanasamy's remarks.
