Govt playing tricks despite strong opposition for FDI: JD(U)

Janata Dal-United chief Sharad Yadav today said that the central government's recently-approved FDI policy would have come into force long ago, had the Congress party's principal ally, Mamata Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress not raised her voice against it. Slamming the policy, which is poised to open up the retail and airline sectors, among others, for foreign investment, Yadav said that the opposition parties had been aided by Banerjee, who became a strong voice of dissent from within the government.
