New Delhi and Islamabad must work jointly in tackling militancy and not let the militants any opportunity to derail the peace process between the neighbours. Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao stated this while addressing the media persons at a joint press conference after her meeting with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir in Islamabad on Thursday. Both the sides said the talks were marked by 'a great deal of cordiality, sincerity and earnestness' that will pave the way for a more comprehensive dialogue, signalling a possible - and unexpected - thaw.
