India's industrial output grows at faster-than-expected rate

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday said improvement has taken place in India's industrial output in the month of March. While talking to mediapersons in national capital New Delhi, Mukherjee however added the annual average should be more, as this is the beginning. According to the data of the Central Statistics Organisation, India's industrial output in March rose a faster-than-expected 7.3 percent from a year earlier, sharply higher than the median forecast for a 3.8 percent annual rise.
