Jaswant Singh meets Chidambaram in New Delhi

A delegation led by newly elected lawmaker Jaswant Singh from Darjeeling met home minister Palaniappan Chidambaram in New Delhi on Monday. The delegation comprising representatives of regional outfit Gorkha Janmukti Morcha urged for an early resumption of tripartite talks to settle the long-standing demand for a separate hill state of Gorkhaland to be carved out of eastern West Bengal.
