Madras HC orders removal of AIDS awareness posters

Madras High Court on Wednesday came to the rescue of a woman and her 4-year-old baby wrongly depicted on AIDS awareness poster though both of them were HIV negative. Thilakavathi, the woman whose picture was used in the poster had petitioned the court saying the photos were used without her consent. In her petition, Thilakavathi said her family was under mental trauma as their neighbours avoided them, suspecting that she was suffering from AIDS.
