Migratory birds flock to Kashmir with the onset of winters

With winter setting in the Kashmir valley, migratory birds from Siberia, North Europe, China and Central Asia have started flocking its various water bodies. State wild life authorities said that they expect more than 6,00,000 avian visitors this year. Most of the birds make Hokersar wetland reserve on the outskirts of Srinagar and various wetlands around it as their winter home.
